Refund policy

Last updated 1 September 2026

Your rights come first

Under the Australian Consumer Law you are entitled to a refund or a replacement if the service is faulty, not as described, or does not do what we said it would. Those rights apply no matter what else this page says, and nothing here limits them.

Changed your mind

Beyond your legal rights, we refund the essays you have not used. Ask within 14 days of buying and we will refund every unmarked essay on your pass, at what you paid for it. If you have not marked anything, that is the whole purchase back. You do not need to give a reason.

Once an essay has been marked the work is done, so we cannot refund that essay because you changed your mind. This applies to every pass equally — on the single essay it means that marking it uses the whole purchase. If a mark went wrong rather than simply not suiting you, that is not change of mind and the next section applies instead.

Past that, get in touch anyway and tell us what happened. This is a small service and we would rather sort something out than have you feel short-changed.

If something went wrong

If an essay failed to mark, or the service was unavailable for a meaningful part of your pass, tell us. We will restore the essays or refund you — a failed mark should never cost you anything, and if one did, that is our mistake to fix.

What we will not refund

We cannot refund a pass simply because you disagree with the marks it gave. The estimate is software-generated and imperfect — we say so plainly before you buy, and on every report. If you think it is behaving incorrectly rather than merely marking you lower than you hoped, that is a fault, and the paragraph above applies.

How to ask

Email essaymarker.hsc@gmail.com from the address on your account, and say what you would like us to do. We aim to reply within three days, and refunds are returned to the card you paid with, usually within five to ten business days once approved.
